Mumbai zoo - Veer Mata Jijabai Bhosle Udayan Zoo Mumbai

HKS Designer & Consultant Intl. Co.Ltd., was awarded the responsibility of preparing the Master Plan of the Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan-Zoo by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. Based on a concept of ‘Dynamic Earth’, the Master Plan includes species from India, S-E Asia, Australia & Africa. With a variety of indigenous & exotic species, the Mumbai zoo on completion will set standards for all the upcoming & proposed modern zoos that are conforming with International Standards

In the Master Plan, we have integrated the following aspects:

Creating a native habitat for the animals
Various value additions for Animal Enrichment and affiliated programs
Enhancement of the visitor experience, Education and Leisure facilities
Adherence to the Central Zoo Authority requirements and guidelines
Preservation & Conservation Account for the heritage structures, the rare and significant trees
