Once again it is that time of the year, when love is in the air; when gift shops are crowded and restaurants are flooded, when the soft breeze and blossoming trees are paid more attention than ever. Once again it’s the Valentine’s Day. The day iconic for the strongest emotion in the world, love. The Valentine’s Day or more casually known ‘V-Day’ is celebrated globally on the 14^th of February every year. Several youngsters express their love by gifting their beloved gifts and confectionaries. This trend started way back in the 13^th century and still follows.It not just defines romantic endeavors but one can gift and express love to everyone they hold in high value like friends, family and even pets. The story of this day goes back to 2^nd century A.D when an early Christian saint named Valentinus was sentenced to death by a Roman King for uniting soldiers with their beloveds against the Roman law.  He was believed to be hanged on a 14^th February. Hence in his honor this day is observed by promoting his values of love.
